Riggers are drone pilots, wheelmen, battlefield engineers, and hardware specialists. They fight through swarms, cameras, rotors, wheels, mounted weapons, and machines that obey faster than people can think.
Note: this class references my homebrew rules for firearms and cyberware which can be found in the Nimble Discord.
Control Rig
You have a built-in, worn, or carried Control Rig linked to your drones and one personal vehicle. Your Control Rig does not use a cyberware slot, does not add Strain, and does not count toward Chrome Count. While linked to a vehicle, you may use Tech for checks to drive, pilot, evade, maintain control, repair, or perform vehicle stunts. You can change your linked vehicle during a Safe Rest.
Drone Minions
You control small drone minions through your Control Rig.
- Deploy Drone. Action: Deploy one drone minion within Reach 1. When combat starts, you may deploy one drone for free within Reach 1. You can have a max of INT or LVL drone minions active, whichever is lower, minimum 1.
- Command Drones. Action, 1/turn: Command all of your active drone minions to move up to 6 spaces and attack.
- Drone Attack. Range 6, 1d8 Piercing. Drone minions have 1 HP, no damage bonus, and do not crit. Destroyed Drones. When one of your drones is destroyed, it is disabled, recalled, knocked out of the scene, or forced to recharge. It effectively disappears from combat. You can deploy another drone normally if you are below your active drone maximum. After combat, disabled drones are assumed to recharge, self-repair, or get patched up as long as you have your Drone Kit.
Rig Dice
When combat starts, gain Rig Dice equal to your KEY. Your Rig Dice are d4s. Unused Rig Dice are lost when combat ends. Each round, you can spend 1 Rig Die during your turn and 1 Rig Die outside your turn. Spending a Rig Die does not require an action. You may spend Rig Dice in the following ways:
- Overclock Attack. When one of your drones hits, spend 1 Rig Die and add it to the damage.
- Emergency Patch. When one of your drones would be destroyed, spend 1 Rig Die. The drone survives at 1 HP instead. You may use this as a free Reaction.
- Boost Signal. Before one of your drones attacks or makes a check, spend 1 Rig Die to give it advantage.
- Hard Turn. When you make a check to drive, pilot, evade, maintain control, or perform a vehicle stunt, spend 1 Rig Die and add it to the roll.
Rapid Deployment
When you Deploy Drone, you may deploy it within Reach 6 instead of Reach 1. When combat starts, your free deployed drone may also appear within Reach 6.
