Giant Conejillos

These creatures are large Guinea Pigs that range from as small as a pig to as large as a dragon. Created by the Goddess of Law and Order Veris, they form extremely organized colonies despite not having much greater intelligence than dogs.

Ecology

Giant Conejillos are spread across the entirety of Relestria, and are universally recognized as the creatures closest to Veris. Some cultures revere them for this fact and would never harm them, while others have deemed them worthy to be livestock. The ones kept as livestock tend to be the size of a large hog, and they are generally hairless.

Wild Conejillos, though, could be anywhere from covered in a thick wooly coat (in the arctic) to completely hairless (in cave dwelling populations). They are incredibly diverse and adaptive. Within a few generations a population will have adjusted to a new environment.

Blessed by Veris

Being creatures made directly by a goddess, some Conejillos have magical powers from their Mother. These usually manifest as simple healing magics that the Conejillos use only to heal their colony, but some powerful colonies have fully fledged clerics and even paladins. The largest of colonies often are led by a matriarch that has been awakened by Veris to have human intelligence.
