Hallway of the Dead

Dark hallway littered with old bones and a few fresh snakemen corpses. There are hidden runes on the walls (6 spaces each).

When stepping in the middle of the hallway the runes glow and combat ensues:

  • 1 Specter per 2 heroes.
  • 1 Snakemen Zombie per hero (Zombie stats + Coiling Strike trait).
  • 1 Lesser Runes of Reanimation (At the end of each round: Add an additional Skeleton Minion (d4) per hero).

Assess ask a Question - What do the Runes do?:

  • DC 10 Arcana: The runes are necrotic and reanimate the dead.
  • DC 12 Arcana: A radiant or necrotic spell user can use 2 actions and 2 mana to interact with the runes. Destroying a group of skeletal minions (1/hero) or 1 non-minion undead.
  • DC 14 Arcana: While intact they also bind the undead and confine them to the runed area.

    Spellweaving:

Radiant and Necrotic spellcasters can spend 1 action and 1 mana to suppress this effect for 1 round.

Necrotic spellcasters can spend 2 actions and 2 mana (or 1 use of pilfered power) to destroy a group of skeletal minions (1/hero) or 1 non-minion undead in the area.
