Command the Might of the Grave
Barrow Guards harness the power of the dead and spectral energies normally forbidden to the living. Some return from the dead to act as crypt keepers or otherwise serve the whims of the gods. Why do you serve?
Level 3
Ghastly Retinue.
Action: If neither are present, you can summon your Spectral Steed or Grave Squire (d12 minions). Both use your actions to attack and interpose for allies within Reach 2 (movement is free). In addition, while they are active:
- Spectral Steed: Action: Mount your steed. You occupy the same space, you gain +6 speed and advantage on your first attack each turn. Your steed takes any unblocked damage.
- Grave Squire: Action: Sacrifice your squire to receive 1d12 temp HP.
Barrow Magic.
When you roll initiative, you gain INT mana that you can use to cast Necrotic spells of Tier 1 and lower (this mana is lost if unspent when combat ends).
Level 7
At Your Command.
You can now summon a steed and a squire at the same time.
Barrow Magic (2).
You can cast Necrotic spells of Tier 2 and lower.
Cavalry Charge.
(1/encounter) If riding your steed, charge up to 10 spaces in a straight line. Each creature you pass through takes 2d12 damage and is knocked Prone (STR save).
Level 11
Barrow Magic (3).
You can cast Necrotic spells of Tier 3 and lower.
Dark Reprisal.
When an enemy kills your minion, they suffer Psychic damage equal to half the damage inflicted.
Siphon Soul.
When you deal a critical hit, gain Temp HP equal to the additional damage.
Level 15
Barrow Magic (4).
You can cast Necrotic spells of Tier 4 and lower.
Grave Lord.
You may embrace undeath and gain the (Secretly) Undead background. Your minions grow stronger and die only if they suffer 10 or more damage at a time.
