You die when you have taken 6 Wounds (unless you have an ability that changes this number). There are ways to revive a hero who has died, but they are rare and often come at a very steep cost.
If you die in game you die in real life.
Ccan openerMethod of death in real life is up to the gm.. It doesn't have to be the same as in game (but preferably it is)
Example of play: And with that, Zenzalark the Destroyer falls off the cliff, plummeting to his untimely death. Mitch I'm sorry, but you have a day to get your affairs in order before I push you off a cliff. I hope you had fun with the campaign.
This rule helps players be more invested into their characters and the story of the game. They also become better at combat and treat it seriously if there are real consequences to dying in game.
